Retrofit ini paling mudah adalah menyerahkan ke pihak Solar karena mereka yang benar-benar sangat mengetahui barang mereka dan mereka selalu melakukan riset untuk meningkatkan performance control system ini dan menghindari peralatan yang obsolete. Selain itu after sales supportnya juga baik. Biasanya desainnya sudah dites dan  diimplementasikan di seluruh dunia. Jadi sebagai user/pengguna kita tidak khawatir di proses upgrade ini.

Tapi bisa saja kita serahkan ke pihak lain, tapi tentunya resiko lebih besar. Ketika proses design kita harus terlibat lebih dalam untuk memastikan tidak ada salah desain sehingga bisa saja menyebabkan mesin rusak. Selain itu after sales supportnya belum tentu sebagus Solar. Harga retrofit ini biasanya jauh lebih murah daripada retrofit ke pihak Solar.

keputusan mana yang dipilih tetap tergantung dari perusahaan dan tentunya mengikuti aturan dari SKK Migas.
