Sharing info mengenai Turbotronic – Solar Turbines


Sekedar sharing sekalian untuk catatan pribadi “juare97”.

Di tempat “juare97” bekerja, ada beberapa unit Solar Turbines Compressor dimana masing-masing unit mempunyai control system yang PLC nya berbeda-beda.

Ini disebabkan beli barangnya beda tahun, disesuaikan dengan kebutuhan produksi.
Nah tentunya teknologi control systemnya disesuaikan dengan teknologi yang ada saat itu.

Oleh Solar, Sistem Controlnya dinamakan Turbotronic.

Berikut “juare97” susun infonya. (copy paste lah, abis waktu kalau terjemahin satu2)

Solar’s Turbotronic control system provides precise integrated control, protection and monitoring of Solar’s turbomachinery packages.

The control system provides control and protection functions for the turbine package.

Aspects of the turbine control are determined by the specific requirements of a particular project.

The four primary functions provided by the control system are: Sequencing, Control, Protection, and Display.

Jadi yang terbaru adalah Turbotronic 4. Memakai PLC Controllogix. Sedangkan HMI yang dipakai adalah buatan Solar Turbine sendiri.

Turbotronic 4 ini juga masih berkembang, terakhir dia memakai Controllogix XT untuk PLCnya dan TT4000 versi 4.0 untuk HMInya.

Berikut info lebih detail mengenai Control System yang dipakai.

Solar uses Rockwell / Allen-Bradley hardware for the Turbotronic control system.

The control system consists of:

· Control Processor
The brains of the package are the processors that provide control to the primary device of the control network. The speed of the processor is vital to control and safety. The need to maintain and increase processor speed has been a driving force in the evolution of the control system.
ControlLogix is the product line name of the current type of Rockwell processors; PLC 5 was the previous generation.

· I/O Modules
Input/output (I/O) modules provide the interface between the package instrumentation and the processor.
To perform many of its functions, the control processor must gather physical data from and send control commands to package systems and instrumentation. This is accomplished through input/output (I/O) modules. These are supplied as
discrete or analog modules. Discrete inputs are ‘on / off’, typically used for alarms, shutdowns, and status indications. Analog inputs are used for scalable functions such as vibration monitoring, pressure, temperature, or fuel flow.
ControlLogix, Flex, and 1771 are product line names Rockwell has given to the various types of their I/O products.

· Processor Software
The processor software programming environment, typically Windows-based, provides flexibility to build code that is efficient to operate and easy to troubleshoot. The processor software standard also known as the CPD or Controls Package Definition is the starting block for Turbotronic software.
All Turbotronic processor software is package specific. The final version of the package software occurs during new package commissioning.
As the CPD evolves, decisions are made to perpetuate or improve the previous generation’s CPD capabilities. If previous capabilities or functions are maintained they become part of the
standard composite. The standard composite is the basis for writing new processor software for vintage package system major upgrades.
As changes are made to the package, the processor software may need to be modified. Modifying package software falls into three categories: Customer modifications, Solar Field modifications, Solar Engineering modifications. When software requires Solar Engineering for modification, it is critical to get a copy of the actual
package running software to avoid the time, expense, and confusion associated with modifying the wrong software.

· Control Network
The control processor communicates with package systems using a high-speed network. It is deterministic and repeatable, meaning that data and instructions adhere to a rigid schedule during each network update. A typical network update time for the control system is five to ten milliseconds.

· Ethernet, ControlNet, Modbus (Serial/TCP) and DH+ are all types of interfaces with the control network. These interfaces all offer various speed, capability, and cost tradeoffs. Rockwell’s ControlNet Phase 1.25 controllers are used with Turbotronic 3 & 3MX, whereas ControlNet Phase 1.5 is used with Turbotronic 4.

Berikut photo compressor packagenya beserta TCP (Turbine Control Panel) nya. (photonya bukan saya yang ambil loh, kalau tampilin photo compressor di plant tidak boleh).

Nah di bawah ini photo control panelnya. Ketiganya ada di plant kami.

Nomor 1 itu dipasang di luar.
Nomor 2 dipasang di dalam control room, dan
Nomor 3 dipasang di dalam control room juga tetapi untuk Generator Set.

    Assalammualaikum.. Bagus banget artikelnya Pak Juni, Saya seorang pemula di bidang instrumen dan kontrol sistem mau tanya sesuatu tentang cause and effect untuk plant solar turbine. apakah pak juni punya informasi tentang cause and effect solar turbine… Mohon informasinya..

      wa’alaikumsalam wr.wb.

      wah itu rahasia perusahaan solar turbines dan perusahaan saya mas.
      maaf, tidak bisa saya share.
      tapi kalau sampean punya compressor solar turbine nya biasanya ada di folder JOB nya tuh (kalau blum di delete sama mereka).

    Pak Juni,

    Ditempat kami untuk turbine compressornya juga sudah di upgrade TCP nya mengunakan PLC ControllogicXT dan HMI nya menggunakan TT4000 versi 6.
    Jika kalau boleh tanya :
    *. Bagaimana cara melihat I/O PLC assigment pada HMI di TT4000, saat retrofit saya sudah di ajarin oleh pihak solarnya, tapi sekarang lupa krn mereka langsung mempraktekan ke laptop saya dan tidak ada modul trainingnya. Di laptop saya sudah terinstall TT4000 v.4 dan PLC controllogic program, kalau membuat running TT4000 konek ke PLC saya sudah bisa, tapi kalau created/ develop HMI baru dan masukkan I/O PLC pada HMI belum bisa. Kalau ndak salah harus di install microsoft access 2003. mohon bantuan sharingnya. dikami sistem komunikasi menggunakan controlnet redundant

      Mas Agus,

      saya sendiri juga belum pernah nambah sih…
      baru buka-buka saja. insyaAllah masih ingat caranya.

      editnya pakai ms front page (bukan ms access).. jadi install dulu software ms front page ini.
      setelah itu buka TTDesigner dan buka projectnya.
      dibagian webviews kalau kita doubleklik salah satu window misal operation summary maka nanti akan terbuka di front page.
      tinggal double klik salah satu parameter nanti akan muncul Window Active X Control Properties.
      Buka tab parameters, pilih baris string id. Disini info IO Tag nya. misal “Gas Vlv Ch Press” diambil dari “Analog.AN_Gas_Valve_Pressure”.

      Untuk melihat hubungan Tag yang dipakai di TT4000 ke PLC, bisa buka di TTDesigner -> System -> TagDB Setup

      dari dua info diatas mungkin kita bisa tambah2 info di halaman TT4000.
      tinggal copy paste dari tampilan yang ada dan diedit sesuai dengan kebutuhan.

      silahkan dicoba-coba dan kalau nanti bisa diinfokan yah …

      setahu saya sih versi terakhir yang direlease adalah versi 5.

      btw sampean kerja dimana?
      kalau ditempat kami hampir tdk pernah edit tampilan TT4000…
